Sherman is a 1-year-old Schnauzer who’s just beginning his journey to a brighter future. He arrived at Hopebridge RTA in rough shape—severely matted and uncomfortable—but with a little vet care, a lot of TLC, and a peaceful environment to decompress, Sherman is finally learning what it means to feel safe.
After a fresh trim, ear cleaning, and treatment for a minor cyst, Sherman has started to come alive. He’s gently engaging with the other dogs, eating better, and showing interest in play. One of our favorite moments? Watching Sherman get the zoomies for the very first time—pure joy!
He’s a quiet observer who loves car rides and will calmly take in the view. While still shy, Sherman is warming up to human affection and beginning to trust. His journey is just beginning, but we know he has all the makings of a loving, loyal companion.
Sherman is not yet available for adoption (he still needs to be neutered), but he’s getting close! If you're looking for a kind-hearted pup with tons of potential, Sherman could be your perfect match.
Hopebridge RTA has developed a strong and close relationship with the Stark County Dog Warden, working in collaboration to rescue dogs in need. We are proud to pull dogs exclusively from their shelter, ensuring that these deserving animals receive a second chance at life. This dedicated partnership allows us to focus our rescue efforts on dogs from the Stark County area, providing them with the care, training, and love they need before finding their forever homes.
