Hello, I’m excited to share my journey with you. My passion for helping animals has grown over the years, from rescuing my first dog at 15 to working with service dogs and teaching families how to nurture their bond with their pets. Every dog I work with is unique, and I believe in tailoring the training to meet both the dog’s and the owner's specific needs. Through my experiences in both the military and education, I’ve learned the value of patience, understanding, and perseverance, which I bring to every training session. I'm here to guide you and your dog to success!
Brailey, my beagle, didn’t have the easiest start. She was rescued from a hunter in West Virginia who gave her up because she wasn’t the best at tracking. But what she lacked in hunting skills, she more than made up for with her gentle spirit and love for people. Now, Brailey joins me in classrooms, where she helps teach young children about dog etiquette—how to interact with dogs safely and kindly. Her story shows that every dog has a special role, and with love and patience, they can thrive in ways we never imagined.
Tux, a goofy pit bull mix, came to us from the Stark County Dog Warden, where he struggled to adjust due to stress. Originally, we didn’t plan on keeping him, but when we discovered his heart was three times the average size, we knew he needed extra care. His oversized heart doesn’t stop him from being playful and full of love, and now Tux has found his forever home with us at Hopebridge Farm. His boundless affection and unique personality make him an irreplaceable part of our family.
"I just had an amazing training session with Shannon from Hopebridge Farms. She was patient and kind but firm with my 2 dogs that needed some corrections. We learned several valuable techniques that will make a world of difference in our home. I am so pleased. I highly recommend Hopebridge Farms." -Gina Jones
"After adopting Riley from the Stark County dog pound we were referred to Shannon. She was so patient, knowledgeable and helpful in assisting me with some basic training for Riley. Riley is an oversized puppy at heart and was a little tough to handle at first. What Shannon taught us in just a few sessions was incredible! He walks on his leash so much better and he's learning to be better with his leash aggression when he sees other dogs. I would recommend Shannon for any training needs or issues. She's also always ready to answer any questions or concerns you may have! Thank you Shannon!" -Michelle Jett
"Trying not to get emotional while writing this, but I called Shannon as a last ditch effort for help with our rescue dog. She immediately came to help no questions asked when I called her like a crazy lady in tears. Her guidance and passion has given us a positive direction with our rescue dog. I can already see a change based on her guidance. I just can’t thank her enough for all of her help and compassion. I highly recommend her." -Jennifer Yoho
