Training Services
Through Hopebridge Farm and Hopebridge RTA
First, a note on how we do things. Our focus is on rescued dogs in crisis. We provide needed intervention for abandoned, abused and discarded dogs that have been lucky enough to find a rescuer but are still struggling to become a valuable member of the family. Our training is different than most because we want you to have a dog that meets your needs and lifestyle. Our trainer will sit down to discuss with you what your vision and expectations are for your dog and what kind of behaviors you are seeing with your rescue that you want to change. We focus on the whole dog. We want to work closely with you both so you can lead meaningful lives and become lifelong partners. We don't just train the dog. You too, will receive all the skills you need and long-term support to ensure you and your rescue live happily ever after. Hopebridge RTA uses several different training methods based on the current skill level of the dog, their history and what type of training they positively respond to. We have found that a mixture of methods seem to work very well because not all dogs learn, react or behave the same. Your dog's training will be individualized based on your dog's needs and the desired end results. Remember, our goal is to keep dogs off the streets, from being abandoned and out of shelters so we want them to be the best they can be. That means giving them, and you, the skills needed to match your lifestyle.
The best part:
The money you spend to train your dog helps many other dogs in need! Monies earned from your participation goes into training, housing, food, medical bills and finding forever homes for unwanted street and shelter dogs.
Evaluation: Cost: $65.00 This is a 45 min session - where you get to meet the trainer, discuss things that you would like to work on with your pup, get quick possible solutions & choose a training plan that best fits your needs if you decide to move forward. Evaluations can be at the farm or on location.
Board & Train: Cost: $1500 (3 weeks). $2,000 (4 weeks) (Currently Unavailable)
includes owner training and 1 in-home follow-up session when complete (within 15 miles).
Board and Train isn't boarding at all. It is an opportunity that allows your dog to get the full experience of training around the clock. They essentially become part of the family for the time they are here on the farm. They will receive 1:1 personal training around the clock, in our home. They will learn the obedience and behavioral skills needed to live in your home and become a valuable member of society. Furthermore, they will get plenty of time outdoors learning the skills they need to become reliable and well behaved. It's completely up to you and your lifestyle. We are here to help you and your dog be successful. Our support doesn't end when your time here is done, we are here for you whenever you need us, as long as you need us, especially after they go home. Call to schedule a consultation. 50% of the fees are due as a deposit to hold your date, and balance is due upon arrival.
One & Done or Two will Do: Cost: $90.00/ session This is ideal for dogs and owners who have one specific skill they would like help with training their dog and intend to do the follow-up training on their own. Sessions typically take about an hour and half and the owner leaves with all the knowledge needed to take on the training for that skill. Also includes phone calls and text follow-up to answer additional questions once you start working on your own.
On Location: Cost: $425.00 (5 sessions) includes support throughout the week: phone calls, texts and video chat or $90 for single session. Sessions generally last 1.5 hrs.
On location means our trainer will come to you. That's because often times an owner has the time and is willing to work with their dog daily on the skill needed, they just need guidance and support. This might include certain behaviors that need to be changed at home or out in public such as stores, parks or restaurants. On location is typically anywhere from an hour to an hour-and-a-half depending on the training needed for both you and your dog. An evaluation session is done on the first meeting to discuss your needs and to see what skills your dog already has or is lacking (this is typically 1 1/2-2hr session). Each weekly session thereafter will build on the previous one until desired results are achieved. We do our best to make these times flexible around your schedule and each session is a training session for both you and your pet. Our goal is not only to work with your pet, but to educate you (and others spending time with your dog) on how to handle your dog creating a peaceful, loving environment for everyone. Don't worry, you'll have support throughout the week & plenty of homework to work on. We are only a phone call or text away. Call to schedule a consultation.
Day Training: Cost: $425.00 (5 sessions) includes support throughout the week: phone calls, texts and video chat or $90 for single session.
Day sessions are a drop-in and pick-up service for those wanting the personalized training throughout the day but do not want the cost of board and train, or would rather have their pet at home at night. Day training is personalized to the needs of the dog and owner and can be different for individual needs. Day trainings can be consecutive or weekly and at the end of each session the owner is schooled on the days lesson so continued practice can happen at home.
Small Group: Cost: $160 (flexible 4 session commitment) (Call to sign up)
Small group sessions are typically held every Thursday evening (weather permitting) at Hopebridge Farm. Class starts a 7:00pm and you just show up. Training session can last anywhere from 1 to 2 hours depending on need. Please bring with you a 6 foot leash and a choke collar or herm sprenger collar, (muzzle if reactive). You will also need a treat pouch that is wearable or a loose pocket (such as a jacket pocket or hoodie pocket) with a high value treat (tiny pieces of baked hot dogs or chicken breast works well and is inexpensive). Once you sign up for classes you may come to any 4 classes they do not need to be (but should be) consecutive. You will be given a calendar the first week of class.
Personal 1:1 Training at the Farm: Cost: $375 (5 sessions)
Receive personalized attention and owner training skills for less than on-location price. This option includes the first week as a consultation and observation/ evaluation and the following 4 weeks of intense 1:1 training. Sessions typically run for an hour, more time if needed. All your questions will be answered. This is a great option for dogs that need extra help with basic commands and skills and the owner is willing to go back home and do the homework during the week. You still get continued support throughout the week with just a phone call and text.

If you have a group of students, a special needs child/ren, or if you know of a veteran that can use some companionship, Brailey is your dog. Being a Veteran, and having a background as a teacher and a licensed Intervention Specialist, Brailey and I love going into classrooms to teach children about dogs.
